How to Make: Spicy Hot Chicken Strips

Ingredients:

  • 1 bread loaf
  • 1.5 lb. chicken strips or tenderloins
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 3 tbsp. hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the flour and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and hot sauce together. In a third bowl, mix together the cayenne pepper, chili powder, and cornmeal.
  3. Dip the chicken in the flour bowl first, then in the egg bowl. Lastly, coat the chicken with cornmeal and place on the baking sheet.
  4. Bake the strips for 15 to 17 minutes or until golden.
