2016 Outstanding High School Student Contest

At Direct Auto & Life Insurance, we feel uplifting and championing the communities where we live and work alongside our customers is an essential part of who we are, and one of the ways we’re trying to do that is by supporting educational opportunities in the areas we serve. This fall, we have two to exciting opportunities for high school students to share. Keep reading to learn more about them!

Nominate a Student to Win Up to $1,000 (and $100 for you)

We need your help with our latest effort to continue our focus on education in the communities where we live and work. If you know a stellar 9th through 12th grade student who excels both in and out of the classroom, we want to hear about them! Fill out a brief entry form (which includes 150 words or less on what makes the student outstanding) to nominate them for a chance to win $1,000! Plus, if the student you nominate is selected as a finalist, you’ll receive $100, too!

The finalists will be selected based on: GPA (B average or better), extracurricular involvement, and leadership qualities. The top three finalists will be awarded:

  • Grand Prize: $1,000
  • Second Place: $750
  • Third Place: $500

Submit your nomination between September 1st and September 30th by clicking the link below.

Another awesome educational opportunity we’re excited to spread the word about is the 2016 Youth Awards presented by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation. We’ve been a proud sponsor of the Youth Awards since 2014, which help provide educational grants to Latino high school seniors who have excelled in the classroom, community, and “priority fields” of mathematical science, healthcare & science, technology, engineering, business & entrepreneurship, education, and community service.

Follow the link below to learn more about the awards and access the application. The deadline to apply is October 2nd!
